Fine to be Me

People expect us to change in order to suit to their needs, and it always happens whether you realize it or not. To please a boss you need to be dedicated; to be mom’s apple of the eyes you need to be an angel; to be a good student you have to pass your exams with flying colors be well behaved (a gangster with good results doesn’t turn you into a hero :P); and the list goes on and on.

Life is not only about you but people around you. Life can be as simple as ‘ABC’ or can be intricate as the cell transformation process. Also, life is filled with values. These values add to the beauty to life. Nevertheless, each value carries a different weight depending on each person’s perception. For instance, most of the time, we do not realize that some of our actions perhaps jeopardize other people’s life. On the other hand, some of our smallest actions can make someone’s day. Confusing, yes, but isn’t that the beauty of life?

... a monotone ...

Life without challenge or difficulty is like a black and white photo - a monotone, classic but plain, nice to look at but flat. It t tells the story but doesn’t attract any audiences. On the other hand, life with challenges and difficulties is filled to the brim with colors and emotions. They can be red in passion, blue in sadness and green in calmness. Pictures speak louder than words, and I couldn’t agree more. If life were depicted in a movie, imagine how beautiful the colors blend and twirl with one’s emotions to create a masterpiece of triumphs and losses.

I often take time to reflect upon where I stood in the journey of life. Time passed is time wasted, but that is life. For me, experience is the greatest teacher ever. It is either you learn something from it or you are too naive to read between the lines. If u fail it doesn’t means it is the end of the world but a second chance to gather the knowledge and experience from it and try again harder.

.. it is fine to be me ..

Somehow, at the end of the day you are not ‘yourself’ but someone new, someone who has been created by people around you. You learn through the mistakes of others and through the mistakes of yourself. You change because of the critiques and advice from others. However, in the end, what matters is what you believe in. Alas, it is truly fine to be me.

Nope, that doesn’t work in ‘real’ life.
