YouthEcho Amplifiers
Youth Amplifiers are the pulse of YouthEcho.com. They believe in making known to the public what's important to youths, and that the word processor is mightier than the gun. As the ears, eyes and mouths (and sometimes noses, too) of Malaysian youths, Youth Amplifiers appreciate forms from all spectrums of the society, from the creativity of the arts to the serious sociopolitical issues.

Annette Singh a.k.a. troisnyxetienne is presently doing A-Levels, and quotes "having a complicated username and a burning passion for music - composing, remixing, playing the piano, drumming, singing........" She loves the drums and the French language, and believes that her life is made for something more valuable than the challenges placed her way. If the music is too loud, it could mean that you've extra speakers built within you, or you're just too old. Deep down, she has this dream of breaking into the music industry someday, no matter how hard it turns out to be. Ah well, as long it doesn't make her go "QUE FAIRE ??!!" She was born, bred and schooled in KL - literally programmed to breathe KL air, we'd say - She spent her primary and secondary years in Convent Bukit Nanas and she is now studying in Brickfields Asia College. Instead of living her dream immediately after SPM, she has been pushed off track to become a lawyer. No wonder the dissatisfaction! YouthMalaysia caught her eye when she first went to it in February 2007, and ever since then, she has been constantly writing..... Well, go ahead and encourage her to write about things, or else she'll turn ratio decidendi into obiter dicta. *Phew* Now I sound like a lawyer too. Meet troisnyxetienne here.

Iris is an undergraduate in MMU, studying accountancy. Accounting is not really her passion; she's just really good at counting. She used to want to write for a living (she wants to publish a book someday) but Mr. Fear told her that's not such a good idea. So now she's attempting writing part time. She's highly addicted to sleeping and Coke and orange juice, and a cup of really good, 'kaw' coffee get her high (seriously!). And when she gets high, she either sleeps a lot, or talks a lot. Iris is also quite a babbler, and she would love to argue with you just for the heck of it. And being a sore loser and a former debater, she will definitely win you over with her nonsensical arguments. So don't bother trying; she'll just drive you nuts! Meet irisming here.

What is she doing here? Trying to convert her spoken words into written words, to reach out and to connect to the youths of Malaysia (and the world!) May appear to be timid and quiet, but once in the comfort zone, she can be a little talkative. Ok, maybe very talkative. Or moderately talkative. Which leads to the next point, indecisive. Randomly gets into the mood of doing artsy stuff. Nail art, candle making, card making, cross stitch are among the few "moods". These "moods" usually last about a month or so. Why? Indecisive, remember? Wants to do everything possible to make the world a better place. Particularly taking measures in preserving mother earth - Go Green!! Has a passion for social work, to educate and to create awareness. Her dream job is to be a psychologist, a child psychologist to be exact. So she can reach out to kids - our future.
