Things to catch this August!

Feeling bored?  Itching to try something new? Or just need a break from the hectic college / working life? Here’s a list of healthy and exciting things to do for this August. Go ahead, read on!

1. Panic at the Disco

What’s this? An American band concert
Who might be interested? Those who appreciate songs which incorporate elements of pop, punk, big beat, electronica, dance, and rock, along with many other genres like psychedelic, folk and jazz. Oh, and you must be above 2 years old to be allowed admission.

2. Short+Sweet Malaysia 2008

What’s this? A theater festival
Who might be interested? Both the old and young, anyone who enjoys plays/dramas/performing arts. Try it if you haven’t been to one, you’ll never know - you might just like it!

When & Where? 6th - 17th of August at KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPac)

3. High School Musical: The Ice Tour

What’s this? A Disney hit movie, now Live on Ice!
Who might be interested? Stereotypically, the younger teens. But hey, if you’re a fan of High School Musical (HSM), go right ahead! If you feel a little embarrassed to go alone, why not take your little sibling/nephew/niece along for a treat?

4. Avril Lavigne’s The Best Damn Tour

What’s this? Pop-punk Concert
Who might be interested? Avril’s fans, concert junkies who just feel like jumping and singing (screaming) along to some familiar tunes

When & Where? 29th August at Stadium Merdeka

5. Merdeka Day Fireworks!

What’s this? A celebration of Hari Merdeka (Independance Day). End the month with a bang as we celebrate with fireworks going off everywhere!
Who might be interested? EVERYONE & ANYONE!! Unless you don’t particularly like fireworks - not like you have a choice though, because it’ll be going off everywhere!
$$$? Free of Charge!
When & Where? As the clock strikes 12 midnight on the 31st, fireworks will be rocketing to the sky from the good ol’ Dataran Merdeka to KLCC and Putrajaya, shopping malls (check out ones nearest to you), or if you live in a condo/apartment, you could enjoy it right from your balcony.

    Oh dear, poor khairilz.. better luck next time maybe. On my side, maybe I’ll try to look out for events before the month begins so necessary preparations can be made.

    puteri is really good at her *hints*… hehe. I might be going for the Avril Lavigne’s concert, will definitely write a review on it if i do :)
